The Repco Supercars Championship rigs have burned plenty of diesel during the trip to Darwin this week, ahead of the 2022 Merlin Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley.

It’s a long trip north for both the Victorian and Queensland-based teams, each covering over 3000 kilometres from their workshops to the Northern Territory capital.

It’s a been big week for the truck drivers, too, with the first Supercars transporter parade of the year weaving through Darwin’s central business district on Wednesday night to the delight of thousands of onlookers. You can watch it here.

The big rigs made their way back to the circuit after the parade and the teams will begin the unload tomorrow morning.

It’s not just the Supercars transporters setting up in Darwin this weekend. Rigs from the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, S5000 and Australian Superbikes have also made the long trip north to complete a stacked support card for the trackside spectators.
