SPOTTED: RACE TRANSPORTERS AT ISLAND MAGIC

Check out some flash race transport rigs at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit

At long last, engines roared to life and race fuel flowed at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit over the weekend.

The 2021 Island Magic meeting featured packed fields, the return of trackside spectators and some of the best spring weather Victoria could offer. Nine categories took to the track each day, including everything from GT cars to Hyundai Excels to Sport Sedans.

There were plenty of ute and trailer arrangements to haul the weaponry to the famous Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix venue. However, the paddock also featured some impressive purpose-built race transporters, particularly for entries in the Cue Victorian Tourist Trophy Sports Cars and Ramada Resort Phillip Island Sports Sedans.

Check out a couple of paddock shots featuring the dedicated race rigs below. Apologies to any teams with trucks that we couldn’t get a clean shot of!
