The Repco Supercars Championship season opener at Sydney Motorsport Park is only 15 days away, and the teams are busy tuning up their machinery for battle in 2022.

The Queensland teams’ preparations took another big step yesterday, with Red Bull Ampol Racing, Shell V-Power Racing and Matt Stone Racing putting some valuable miles on their 2022 entries.

Matt Stone Racing’s Super2 Series squad also clocked some critical pre-season miles yesterday, as well as leading Porsche squad, McElrea Racing.

Ipswich-based motorsport photographer, Matthew Paul, arrived at Queensland Raceway early to catch the big rigs rolling in, and he stayed until sunset to catch the last of the transporters leaving the venue.

Matt Stone Racing’s Supercars gear heading back to base

The Victorian and New South Wales-based Supercars teams have their official pre-season at Winton Motor Raceway on Tuesday, while Peter Xiberras’ new PremiAir Racing squad is set to shake down its equipment at Queensland Raceway next Wednesday.
